How to Mirror Samsung Phone with Windows 11 Laptop

mytech mode December 2, 2021

Do you want to screen share or screen mirror your Galaxy phone to a Windows 11 laptop? In this post, you’ll learn how to mirror a Samsung Galaxy phone with Windows 11 laptop.

Any PC may now operate as a wireless receiver for Miracast, allowing you to watch the display from another Windows PC, an Android smartphone or tablet, or a Windows phone, thanks to the Anniversary Update for Windows 10.

Furthermore, Screen Mirroring is not compatible with older Samsung devices or operating systems prior to Android 4.1.12. Smart View will replace Screen Mirror in the menu function on some later models. However, recent Samsung Galaxy smartphones, such as the Note 20 Series, S21 Series, Note 10 Series, S20 Series, and others, include a specialized screen mirroring function called “Smart View” that allows you to mirror your Samsung Galaxy to your Windows 11 PC with ease.

Screen Mirroring

Screen mirroring replicates your current display on another screen. Wired screen mirroring is still used — HDMI and the nearly dead VGA connection — but wireless screen mirroring has been available for a long time. To mirror your screen, you’ll need a display, such as a TV or a monitor, that can receive material wirelessly via built-in technology or an adaptor.

AirPlay is one of the older screen mirroring systems, although it only works with Apple devices. Miracast is yet another wireless display technology that is utilized for screen mirroring. Most current Windows and Android devices, including tablets, smartphones, and laptops, as well as some linked displays, such as smart TVs, and some streaming devices, such as Roku and Amazon Fire TVs, are Miracast-enabled.
